2020欧冠名单THOMASVILLE — Seven Southern Pines residents have died in the last two weeks, but not necessarily from COVID-19.

“It doesn’t mean that they (deaths) were related to the virus,” said Christy Ridenhower, executive director at the senior-living Covington Avenue facility.

2020欧冠名单Two died at Southern Pines, others at Archbold Memorial Hospital.

Four residents who tested positive for the coronavirus are in isolation on the campus and are nearing the end of the isolation period.

A number of people want information about the virus and deaths at Southern Pines, but Ridenhower said people want to know things she cannot provide because of health privacy laws.

“They are welcome to reach out to family members,” she said.

The National Guard is sanitizing the campus. The cleaning was not mandated, Ridenhower said, but requested.

The campus also has flu and strep cases in addition to the virus, she added.

2020欧冠名单Soldiers cleaned Saturday, Monday and will return Tuesday.

2020欧冠名单Southern Pines is testing for the virus, while not all long-term facilities are, Ridenhower said. Southern Pines contracts with a lab to conduct testing.

“Anybody who has symptoms, we have the ability to test,” she said.

As of Monday, Southern Pines had no new virus cases. Of the facility’s 114 residents, seven previously had tested positive for COVID-19.

2020欧冠名单Three of them are on the Southern Pines campus, according to Ridenhower, and four of them are off the campus. Those off-campus are with family or in the hospital.

All residents’ oxygen levels and temperatures are checked daily.

Ridenhower said she welcomes emails from anyone wanting information about Southern Pines. She can be reached at ed@southernpinessl.com.
