2020欧冠名单CAIRO — Authorities were able to apprehend a child solicitation suspect Sunday with help from the community after he evaded law enforcement’s initial attempts to capture him.

2020欧冠名单Police initially received a complaint Sunday afternoon of a suspect in a black SUV driving around the 1000 block of Washington Homes Drive who had attempted to entice a 17-year-old boy to enter his vehicle. As police entered the area, a second call came in regarding a vehicle with a matching description headed westbound down nearby Copeland Avenue.

2020欧冠名单Officers were able to intercept the vehicle at the intersection of 12th Street SW and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but police say the driver, Trevus Denarquis Brown, sped away.

A chase ensued westbound along MLK Avenue until Brown attempted to make a u-turn near 15th Street SW. Police struck the vehicle, a 2017 Kia Soul that was later discovered to have been stolen from Tallahassee, to end the pursuit, but Brown then exited the car on the passenger side and fled the scene on foot. Brown was at large for a time before later being found hiding in a residence not far from the site of the crash.

Interim police chief Giovannie Santos said Brown was apprehended “with the prompt help of the community.”

Brown, 24, has been charged with theft by receiving property stolen in another state, reckless driving and driving without a license.

Police say Brown is also wanted in Thomasville for other violations. Brown is also listed as having been arrested in Leon County, Florida in March for resisting an officer.

2020欧冠名单An investigation into the alleged solicitation of a juvenile is ongoing, Santos said. Anyone who believes their child or family member may have been approached by Brown is asked to contact Investigator Johnny Myers at (229) 378-3096.
